    5Makes the $$$ go a long way  Aug 07, 2008
The Yamaha F-310 Acoustic Guitar was my very first guitar, and I grew to love it. I played it for 6 years, and it never failed. Since then I have upgraded to a Gibson Songwriter Cutaway (which plays like a dream), and I gave away my trustworthy Yamaha to a lucky person. I sometimes wish I still had my old F-310. I beat it up pretty bad, but the tone and playability never diminished. Don't let the price fool you...this yamaha is everything you could want in a beginner/intermediate guitar. With the right set of fresh strings, this guitar sounds comparable to higher-end guitars in the upper hundreds. Buy this Yamaha, and it'll be one purchase you don't regret.

    5Super Pleased!!!!!  Aug 05, 2008
I purchased this guitar 6 years ago from a guitar store for about $300. I LOVE it. If I had to do it over I would buy the same one. It is great to learn on. The action (how high the strings are off the fretboard) is low which helps your fingers not have to work so hard and hurt less. My neighbor has a $1000 Martin acoustic and when we get together he always snags mine to play with for a while. He loves it. He has been playing for over 30 years and he cant get over how nice this guitar sounds. It does ding up pretty easily when you hit it on the coffee table but that just adds character right. Im not really worried about it because I never plan on getting rid of mine. I highly recommend this guitar for beginners and anyone who wants a great guitar for a great price.

    4guitar beginner's review  Apr 25, 2008
I got this guitar after just 3 or 4 lessons, to practice on and stuff, and i was very pleased when i opened the box. The guitar has held up nicely, no scratches or dents even though i accidentally bang it against tables, etc. It sounds good to me, but i dont have much to compare it to...overall i am very happy with it

    5Excellent Buy!  Feb 29, 2008
I bought this guitar through Amazon as my first acoustic guitar acouple months ago and I haven't put it down since. I have a les paul but I almost always practice with this guitar. Sounds great and the fret board is almost identical in size to the les paul's. Stays in tune well but its very sensitive to temperature (but what instrument isn't). The only thing to watch out for is denting this guitar. It is not a tank, it will dent if you bang it into the corner of a desk or table. If you are a beginner looking for a first acoustic guitar BUY THIS GUITAR. If you want a guitar with a little more prestige you should be slapped, buy this guitar and figure out the basics. I was planning on buying a comparable guitar for 400 but I got this for $150!!! this guitar is worth it.
