This small-bodied guitar is an amazing deal. The smaller profile is very playable for kids, has nice tone, and can be yours for chump change. It has a maple neck and rosewood fretboard and comes set up with Martin strings.

2Stan's Review:  Jul 02, 2006
Bottom line is that this is a great guitar for the price. The strap knob is plastic and rather chincy and the fretboard does not have those dot thingies but the overall instrument is really nice and sounds good.

5Great for beginners  Sep 27, 2005
I bought this guitar for my daughter who is a beginning guitar player. It is just the right size for her small stature. The sound is really great also.

4Good Enough  Sep 09, 2005
I bought one of these to have as a "loaner" guitar for students, etc. I had grave reservations buying a guitar priced so low (I paid about $30), but this one was very playable, the intonation was good, and the tuners worked (all things likely to be lacking at this price). I have since bought four more for students. One has questionable action. I do not know if I will be able to get it setup correctly, but it is already out the door. All the others play well. These guitars also look okay.

Here are the weak points. The neck is "clubby." The guitar is all laminate construction of some hardwood I have not identified (may be Ash, may be a Chinese hardwood I know nothing about). And this brings us to the sound. It is not the best. It sounds better picked fingerstyle (which I teach) than strummed with a pick. The one I have kept I have strung in "Nashville" tuning, and it is fun to hammer around on strung up that way.

Someone could actually learn to play on at least four out of five of these.

5Nice beginner guitar  Apr 04, 2005
This guitar is suited for people with little hands. I have a hard time with my fingers because they are small, and this guitar works great. The sound isn't bad, but I would get new strings, and the guitar is sturdy and will work well for the new player. The color is nice too, it adds a little something to just a basic guitar.
