Perception 400

All of AKG's knowledge about large condenser mics is distilled in the Perception 400. The Perception 400 has all the features you need for great studio sound: two large-diaphragm condenser capsules; omni, cardioid, and figure-8 selectable pickup patterns; a switchable -10dB pad; and a switchable 300Hz, 12dB-per-octave bass roll-off filter to minimize proximity effect and overwhelming low end. The broad 20Hz 20kHz frequency response has a carefully-crafted, gentle rise starting at 5kHz peaking at +4 dB at 10kHz to bring the sound forward in the mix and give vocals and acoustic instruments presence. The Perception 400 has a die-cast brass housing; dent-resistant, stainless-steel grille; a gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector; and comes with a shockmount and locking metal road case.
