Great practice bass Mar 29, 2008 The Peavey max 126 is great for practicing. You can't take it to any gigs or anything, it doesn't get that loud, but the sound quality is almost perfect. It has volume control, high, low, and even vintage if you want to make your guitar sound like a tube bass. It's also got a headphone jack. If you're starting bass guitar, this is the way to go.
