5Cymbal Holder  Jan 11, 2007
Purchased this item as a Christmas gift as listed on the receipients list and this worked out best for both giver and receiver as being an item desired rather than something to return or engineer what to do with it!
However, the cymbal holder was well made and sturdy with good appearance and quality. If you have need ,it is a commendable product.

5Add cymbals without adding expensive stands  Oct 07, 2004
I use two of these adapters on my kit to mount a 10" Zildjian splash and 16" crash on existing cymbal stands. They are solid and strong and can even support a 20" cymbal (I tested this configuration, but do not normally use it for such large cymbals).

The adapters attach to either a cymbal arm, such as those normally mounted on the bass or integrated into dual tom tom brackets, or stands (straight or boom). The set screw holds the adapter securely on the host stand or arm, and the mini boom and adjustment head give a lot of flexibility in cymbal placement after it is attached.

What I like most is the savings these provide over the cost of additional cymbal stands, and I also like the flexibility it gives me when setting up and configuring my kit. Add to those features the fact that this adapter is strong enough to hold a 20" cymbal (I tested it with a circa 70s Avedis Zildjian cymbal, which is heavier than most of Zildjian's current 20" models), and you have an adapter that is both strong and configurable.
