The Singalong Songwriter's Guitar Aug 09, 2008 I bought one of these guitars from Amazon early this year... 2008. I do love this guitar and I've got quite a few. This one had me writting songs from the first chord. Although it's not made of gold or even silver it's still a treat to play after getting my fingers tied in knots on Fender products and having to reach for the sky on some chord on Gibsons.
Mine's black. I had to sell it and just got it back yesterday. Back to writting songs and enjoying what I'm writting. I've got it hooked up to a Roland Microcube amp and the sounds are always way ahead of me even before I start to play.
The Mockingbird has a distintive but rare sound quality and I'm sure if you look after yours it will still be worth money after the flood. Mine has the blunt point cut off compliments of the guy I bought it back from but now it's even more off the wall then ever. I don't know I don't recomend you do this but he said it kept kicking him between the legs.
There's two double pickups but only one volume and tone control so you may find yourself with your own sound whether you like it or not, right from the start.
For such a cheap guitar I can't get over how nice it sounds.. especially with the Roland.
Did I mention the guitars uncanny ability to make songwritting easy and fun and even satisfactory??? did I well I can't stress this enough so I'll say I told you and leave it at that.
