Must-have for podcasters using the MXL990 Jun 01, 2008 Not much to say about it; this is a shock mount that shields your MXL990 microphone against vibrations in whatever surface your mic stand is resting on. This is essential if you're using a desktop stand -- the vibration noise from your computer's fan and hard drive will instantly disappear once you set this thing up. My only complaint is with the elastic bands that hold microphone in place: they're a little persnickity, and tend to come loose from their hooks a bit too easily.
