4Pleased with the quality... a good step above most average condenser mics  May 08, 2008
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R371M5WEOIYH2D This mic is obviously heavily discounted. I cannot find any particular fault with audio quality... so I would imagine the reason for the deal has more with the market moving in the direction of USB microphones rather than any particular fault with this model.

Doing some of my own tests, I would say it rivals the quality of any studio-made podcast I listen too... although it may pick up TOO MUCH sound for certain environments. The low cut filter switch does help in this regard.

bottom line, I am happy with it... and definitely think it gives you an edge in a studio environment over standard condenser mics. Unfortunately, the video doesn't do the audio quality justice... but... hopefully it helps.

1Avoid This Mic  Apr 16, 2008
I have used a lot of pro mics over many years and I can tell you right now this is No Where Near a Pro mic! I bought this thinking that I could base my decision based on the original price I saw listed. However I made a mistake. This mic has a very brittle tone with no body what so ever. Probably one of the worst mics I have ever heard. No bottom end at all. I can't even eq it properly to make it sound usable. I suggest you save your money and buy a 414 or anything costing 900.00 or above. Believe me when I say you will waste your money if you buy this...I will be returning mine...or maybe just recycle the metal and save the earth!
