The list of Acoustic Matrix users reads like a who's who of acoustic musicians. The secret of this undersaddle pickup's sound (and popularity lies in its proprietary co-polymer pickup and active endpin-mounted preamp. Smaller sized concert/auditorium instruments and nylon string classical guitars will benefit from the slight bass boost in the Natural I preamp. This version of the Acoustic Matrix can also work well in some larger guitars, especially at low to medium stage volumes.

Guitar Pickup May 03, 2008 I had this pick up installed at a local Music store and it works great. Thanks
Fishman Matrix NT1 Guitar Pickup - review Jan 16, 2007 So far I did not have any problems with it. I had it installed by a professional, charged me $30 and I was very pleased with the work.
The downside of this pickup is that it does not come with volume control and the biggest one is the lack of bass. I own a Big Baby Taylor and I was hoping to gain some bass sound when amplified with this pick-up but that has not happened. Besides that it sounds good.
