5my favs  Oct 27, 2007
i've been playing guitar for 15 years. i have a very nice taylor acoustic and tone is very important to me. its even more important when you start recording and can hear every detail.

i actually discovered these strings when my taylor came strung with them. they sound great, very balanced, and they retain their sound way way longer then any uncoated strings i've played. well worth the extra money imho. i haven't done a side by side comparison but i believe they also cut down on string squeak when sliding and have a smoother feel when moving around the fretboard quickly

3Ehh...  Mar 22, 2007
So I got these new Nanoweb strings for my CF Martin Acoustic guitar. I was expecting them to be at least up to par with the Martin SP+ that I currently had on it, well I was wrong. Sure, they have less screech when sliding up and down the fret board, but they sound just down right tinny! You could just as easy add some fret glide to your guitar and get great sound out of the guitar...

5Elixir strings, top notch  Mar 14, 2007
Great feel, pretty good sound. Are the OEM strings of Taylor. I wish the sound would be a bit brighter, but the sacrifice for life and feel is worth it.

5review for acoustic guitar strings  Nov 06, 2006
it is the first time I use this strings, by recommendation. and they
turned out wonderful. excelent sound and great to the touch. I will definetely use them again.

3Elixir Guitar Strings  Oct 16, 2006
I have a fender accoustic guitar, and I bought these strings for the feel and sound. The feel is great! The sound is not right. I believe the Elixir strings are made for an electric guitar rather than an accoustical guitar. You might give it a thought before you buy these strings, for the quality sound that you are looking for.
