 There are two versions of these Nov 19, 2008
Bose actually released two versions of these. The first generation were not get and are indicated by the purely black cord and large square connector on the end. These are no good and have tons of issues.
The second generation released this year have a black/white cord and refined connector. These are much better, have brilliant sound and do not slip out of your ear. I've had both pairs and thought myself a fool for buying the second pair, but they have done the job very well. Be sure you get the white/black cord pair and not the 1st generation pair.

I saw a bunch of people giving these ear buds bad reviews. I was extremely skeptical to buy them, assuming they would be horrible quality like everyone had mentioned. I saw an offer on Amazon for these ear buds for $45 and I couldn't pass down the opportunity. I'm so glad I bought these. I don't know if the manufacturing of these is inconsistent, but I purchased a great pair. They stay in my ears very well and are extremely comfortable. The silicone ear pieces are very sturdy and stay on the buds tightly. They don't come off easily like most people mentioned that they would. But again, I might have purchased a better pair than what people mentioned. Sound quality is beyond great. I can definitely see where these would originally cost $100. The bass is nice and deep, and the sound is extremely clear. I'm an audiophile, and these ear buds definitely suit my high quality needs. Couldn't have purchased a better pair of ear buds for the price in my opinion.
In my opinion, I wouldn't go by what everyone says on here. Try them out for yourself and see what you think. I found my particular pair to exceed all my expectations and provide excellent audio quality.

The wire came apart at the part that connects to the player with only normal use and then soon therafter stopped working completely as wires became frayed. Sound very decent but for $95 ear buds they did not last very long. Very dissappointed in this BOSE product.

I have been using the Bose In-Ear Headphones daily with my Ipod and have had no problems. Easy to carry, great sound, extremely comfortable. Best I have ever used. Definitely worth the price.

These are arguably the best pair of earbuds I've ever owned. I dont understand why so many people gave this a one out of five.
1) The earbuds stay in my ears even when I'm exercising.
2) The gel plugs are extremely comfortable.
3) They get loud enough to hurt a hit if you're listening to a bass-intensive song.
4) They do offer some degree of isolation, enough for driving, riding the bus, etc, and still be able to hear your music clearly.
5) The sound quality is miles above all the other headphones I've tried, including the stock iPod ones, some Philips ones, and a pair of Skullcandy ones.
6) Bass, bass, and more bass.
One thing is true though. The ear plugs are constantly falling off, though I havn't lost one, thankfully. Apparently this problem has been fixed on the new model, though.
All in all, I am definitely not disappointed by these earbuds. These are a great value.
But if you are still worried about these, I suggest some Shure SE110's. They're about the same, except the Shure ones offer more isolation, a better fit for some people, and are $20 more expensive.
